Chinese lanterns started out of necessity for lighting and over time became a delicate art form. Today, a variety of different materials and colors are used to make the extravagant lantern exhibit you experience at the Chinese Lantern Festival. This is a great place to celebrate the creativity that goes into making Chinese lanterns.

The theme this year is “Blooming Seasons”, emphasizing nature and animals throughout the illuminations. You can also enjoy lantern displays, a 100-yard-long Ceramic Chinese Dragon, seasons in the Amazon Jungle, animals, insects, reptiles, exotic trees and plants. Children can also ride the Mythical Creature. Indulge in food, drinks, Chinese fold musical concerts, traditional dance shows, lantern Santa Claus, folk art souvenir booths and more.

You can also experience the art of Chinese lantern making with modern materials and eco-friendly colored LED light bulbs. Other activities include: traditional concert instruments, paper cuttings, sugar painting and Chinese embroidery.
